UPSC Geologist Recruitment - 2012



The Frist Public Service Commission was set up on October 1st, 1926. However, its limited advisory functions failed to satisfy the people's aspirations and the continued stress on this aspect by the leaders of our freedom movement resulted in the setting up of the federal Public Service Commission under the Government of India Act 1935.The UPSC has been established under Article 314 of the constitution of India. The Commission is serviced by a Secretariat headed by a secretary with two additional secretaries, a number of joint secretaries, Deputy Secretaries and other supporting staff.

Union Public Service Commission has issued notification againest recruitment of 382 Geologist vacancies through Geologist Examination 2012. Eligible candidates can apply online from on or before 15-10-2012. More details are available below.

Educational Qualifications : Geologist & Assis. Geologist - Master Degree in Geology Scince.

Jr.Hydrologist & Assis. Hydrologist - Master Degree in Geology Scince and Hydrology.




Age : Minimum 21 yrs & maximum 32 yrs ( posts 1 & 2 ), Minimum 21 yrs & maximum 35 yrs ( posts 3 & 4 )




Selections : selection process is based on performance in written test, Document Verification Physical tests, Interview and Medical Examination.
